| What is the American Marketing Association (AMA)? The American Marketing Association is an international professional organization for people involved in the practice, study, and teaching of marketing. Their principal roles are: 1) To always understand and satisfy the needs of marketers so as to provide them with products and services that will help them be better marketers. 2) To empower marketers through information, education, relationships, and resources that will enrich their professional development and careers. 3) To advance the thought, application, and ethical practice of marketing. How can I sign up to become an official member of the American Marketing Association? To become an official member of the AMA, please register online at MarketingPower.com. Follow these steps: Visit the AMA at MarketingPower.com...Join Now > 1) Page 1: Select 'Student' as your membership type. 2) Page 2: This page is optional. You do not have to select any of the Publications or Local Chapters as they will only increase your membership cost. 3) Page 3: Confirms your Student Membership cost to the AMA. This cost should be $39, unless you have selected additional items from Page 2. The $39 is an annual fee that must be renewed each year to remain a member. 4) Page 4: Fill in all your information. Under 'Name of School' please make sure you fill in 'Drexel University' in the open box. This is required to be recognized under the Drexel University Chapter of the AMA.  |
